Zevij-Necomij attaches great importance to corporate social responsibility. Together with the suppliers and affiliated wholesalers, Zevij-Necomij is taking ever greater steps towards corporate social responsibility.
In every area where Zevij-Necomij sees opportunities to be more economical with people and the environment, those opportunities are used. Whether it concerns packaging, our own energy supply, transport, our own employees or the (social) environment. Corporate social responsibility is a real motivation for Zevij-Necomij, based on the idea that CSR is not a choice but an assignment.
Zevij-Necomij is making green steps in logistics. In recent years, Zevij-Necomij has succeeded in significantly reducing the number of kilometers linked to products. Full trucks pollute less at the bottom of the line. By organizing logistics more efficiently, it has also become considerably more environmentally friendly. By using the warehouse in Oosterhout as a logistics hub, this results in considerably fewer vehicle movements. Transport with our own trucks is calculated very efficiently every day in order to minimize the burden on the environment
Furthermore, sustainability is a sum of seemingly small measures that together can make a difference. Zevij-Necomij, for example, sets sustainability requirements for its suppliers and works virtually paperless at the office in Oosterhout. In addition, Zevij-Necomij generates 110,000 kWh of electricity with its own solar panels, while on the other hand it saves as much energy as possible.
CSR also includes attention to people. Vitality of its own employees is an important pillar within Zevij-Necomij and Zevij-Necomij continues to take steps here. Think of high-low desks, encouraging cycling to work and attention to safety measures in the warehouses. Zevij-Necomij offers its employees a preventive medical examination every two years and has an active absenteeism policy aimed at quickly involving people back in the work process.
